A newly opened café, printed menus, and an owner worried that a digital menu would be too slow on weak mobile connections.
I produced initial wireframes and visual variations, then designed and built a mobile-first bilingual menu around fast loading, clear navigation, collapsible product categories, simple pricing and operational ease for staff.
Next.js 14 with Directus as a headless CMS, so menu items and prices can be managed centrally without developer intervention. Deployed with Dockerised containers behind Nginx and Cloudflare for SSL delivery, caching and a lightweight production setup.
Implementation ran largely through AI-assisted development with me supervising, testing and correcting. The first time design ownership and modern AI-assisted implementation combined well for me.
